Join as a participant
Once selected, participants will collaborate in pairs on scenes chosen by Ivana, which they must prepare in advance following the 12-step technique outlined in her bestselling book. Additionally, participants will need to rehearse with their assigned scene partner for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours before the Masterclass, and an additional 3 to 4 hours at the conclusion of the first day. This is going to be a ride!

Note: You have to purchase the “auditor ticket” first and then if you are selected you will just pay the rest of the “participant” price (€180 + €520). It will be €700 in total. The auditor tickets are non refundable.

WHAT WILL I HAVE TO PREPARE:
- Some weeks prior to the masterclass, chosen participants will be assigned a scene (and a partner) which they will need to prepare and rehearse on the basis of the 12 tools explained in her book: ‘The Power of The Actor’.
- They will also be required to rehearse with their scene partner a minimum of 6 to 8 hours before the masterclass and also 3 to 4 hours on the evening of the workshop.
WHAT WILL I GET:
- You will have the unique chance to work closely with Ivana, she will direct you and help you to unlock your psyché through her technique.
- You will work within a vibrant group of international actors.
Join as an active auditor
Train and refine your acting skills through active participation in exercises, where you’ll listen, observe, and engage alongside participants. The Ivana Chubbuck Masterclass offers a profound journey of discovery, whether you’re chosen as a participant on the floor or as an active auditor.
As an active auditor, you’ll actively partake in numerous transformative exercises, gaining insight into applying the 12-step process inherent in the Ivana Chubbuck Technique. Witnessing Ivana work her magic has proven immensely beneficial not only for actors but also for writers, directors, educators, and agents globally. Remember to bring along your notebook and pencil to capture the invaluable insights. It will provide you with effective and practical tools and will facilitate your ability to apply them successfully, with effective results in the real world.

WHAT WILL I LEARN:
- How to use the 12-step Chubbuck Technique through watching, listening and participating. The masterclass includes several transformative exercises, in which everyone in the audience will actively participate in.
- How to create palpable chemistry with anyone.
- It will help you understand how to play an evil character.
- How to take the victim out of being a victim if you are playing the one being killed.
- How to truly feel high or drunk with exercises that give you the authentic feeling of being on those substances.
- How to organically play fear.
- The Emotional Diary exercise which quickly gets you to knowing what your deepest triggering emotions are.
Practical Information
The masterclass is on Saturday and Sunday, November 30th and December 1st, from 9 AM to 6 PM. Both days, the doors open 30 minutes before the start of the class.
The masterclass will be held at Komedie Theatre, located in Prague at the address: Jungmannova 15/1, 110 00 Nové Město.
Don’t worry, the masterclass will be held in English.
The masterclass ends with a Q&A session for both participants and active auditors, followed by photo & book signing and networking.

Observers are strongly advised to familiarize themselves with “The Power of the Actor” book. Studying the material will help clarify practical methods for achieving greater success in real-world performances.
Actors performing on stage are also recommended to thoroughly study “The Power of the Actor” book, which introduces the 12-step Chubbuck Technique. As a participant you will be assigned a scene and a scene partner with whom you should contact each other as soon as possible and schedule rehearsals. You will be required to rehearse with your scene partner a minimum of 6 to 8 hours before the masterclass and also 2 to 3 hours on the evening of the workshop. At least two in-person rehearsals are recommended. On the day of the workshop your scene should be performance ready. And then you just need confidence and a good mood!
